Do you know the specs on motor, esc & voltage being used. That reminds me of how my Velocity type mono hull runs before going in at around 46mph. I to am working on a micro type hydro at the moment, Naturally over powered & under sized. What i like about micro boats is you can be really stupid with them as there quite cheap to build & repair or replace. The big very expensive boats you start to think twice about blowing stuff especialy if you have already had to replace stuff several times through blow ups. The only down side to this small stuff is you have to choose conditions more for flat out running but their fine in rougher conditions if your easier with your trigger finger. When you have micro hulls that are only 15" long for the hull & 50-60 mph relative to size & exceration are pretty lively. Thanks Martin.

      I will take a guess and say it's a 4600kv motor on 2S.
Should have thought about beefing up the drive line with those RPM's

Cool little rocket. All that jumping / loading and unloading of the prop probably did it in.

Ive found with these very small light boats at high speeds theirs very little of the hull in the water. With my mono v hull its just the rear tip of the v thats in the water, Its running virtually on the prop. You can see clear air under practically the entire hull with very little spray comming off the hull. The problem that upsets these little boats running very light & dry is torque through the prop rather than lifting the boat at the front. You can clearly hear the torque of the prop affecting upsetting the boats smooth running. Thanks Martin.

                  From the video poster:
Castle sidewinder 1/10 scale 4600 kv 100,000 rpm Max motor with silicone water jacket . Had to use trim tabs out back to keep it on the water, and still fine tuning things. Speed controller on front left battery right rear. Receiver is too small to make a difference.

Try useing an air dam under the front of the wide centre section of the hull about 1.5"- 2" in from the front of the centre section. It interupes the flow of air under the hull & gives the hull much less lift at the front, Also a very easy mod to do as its only stuck on with double sided tape. Thanks Martin.
