Got Her painted... After seeing Jesse J's vid's I wanted to give Her a scale paint job, but the only two 47' GTX hulls I could find in race paint were the "Mamba" and the "MHZ" The Mamba is a sweet paintjob, but the owner is such a douchebag I don't want to pay homage to his boat... and the MHZ boat is painfully ugly... All the other 47' GTX's are privately owned, with custom paint and Outerlimits logos, so I went that route. She is Candy Apple red with silver and black graphics, all paint no vinyl and 3 coats of clear... The pics don't do it justice...
I did the inner cover is Carbon covered plex, the inspection cover over the ESC and Motor is heat molded 3/16 clear Plex...
The inside shot was taken before paint, you can see I made the battery pads huge, making weight shifts easy with a lot of range.
Everything on the inside of the hull is done in Carbon...

Careful with that LV 240 on 6s though.
I've considered that hull myself, I just wish it had a bit more freeboard for a more scale look.

Wow, looks good... real good.... I am sold on those big leopards now... I may have to try one in my Sniper.... I was gonna go 2230 but for the money I think this is the route I am gonna go .... yet I too am gonna go with the next lower kv motor, as I have a ton of 4s packs to run in 8s2p format... VERY VERY nice setup though..
