Great video!!!!! I just ordered the Osprey as well. Can't wait to get it even more after seeing your video!!! I had been planning on 6s with a Leopard 4082 (1500) since it is suppossed to be a pretty direct bolt in. I was really wanting to put the Leopard 5692(1340) like you in, but from what I could research online, people claimed it takes alot of mods to fit and don't show how to make it work.

This will be my 2nd boat after just getting the Miss Geico a month ago and now having her on 6s hitting 54mph I am pumped to get a big vee haul and see her rip..... I am really new to boats and trying to learn as I go. Always been a HPIBajaForum member for 1/5 scale baja gassers.

Would you mind showing some pictures and eplain what it would take to mod the Osprey for that 5692 motor???? Even for swapping out the motor mount, I haven't been able to figure out what a good mount is to buy or the right way to setup/ install a new mount. Did you use a different drive cable than the stock one on the Osprey?? Is the X452 the stock prop?, I know it comes with a BeCu prop.

Any help would be greatly apreciated.

Fantastic!!!!!!!!!!! Seeing this thread is helping me alot, I am definately going for the 5692 mod now.

Do you have a link for the motor mount you bought??? Maybe I missed it in the OSE store, but I am not sure which one is right for holding that monster.

You need to order it from Peter Zicha. Look in the unique products and services section of the forum under motor mounts. Peters handle is Punisher67. He already has a cnc program for the leopard 5692 motor mount for 5" spaced rails. Send him a PM regarding the mount and he will be happy to make you one.

It doesn't get cold enough to snow here. It started raining as soon as I got the hatch tapped up!
