The weather has been great here the last few days, so my friend Tony aka "Marcelaw" and I have been running the boats as much as we can. I managed to snap a few pics, and thought I would show off my stuff LOL!
Anyways, the hull is a Delta Force 45 MKII (39.5 in) that I picked up from another member here in the swap shop, some of you may recognize it. It came with a NEU 1527 1Y, and a 40-160 esc., speedmaster hardware, and a 452/3 prop.
I picked up a set of gently used Polyquest 6S 5000mah 25C lipos from a fellow club member, added my RX, add RX pack, and hit the water.
The setup ran really stable, all temps cold, and rock solid in the low 50's. The only glitch I had was some intermittent hiccups while running. Which seems to be caused by running the RX in a balloon that had got some moisture in it.
While trouble shooting the hiccups, I did notice that the solder connections at the bullets between the ESC and Motor were starting to look a little corroded. I replaced the wire, and bullets. Just this resulted in an average increase in 3-4 MPH consistently ( I was surprised ).
I tested a 455/3, a few days ago and that put me right at 58mph. Anyways, I couldn't be more pleased with the setup. Here's a link to some pics we took this weekend.
Please ignore the blue hatch tape, you know the ole saying "run whatcha brung!" LoL!
