    Scale hydro stuffs itself twice

Boat runs good at half throttle using a leopard 4074 2000kv after 4 minutes run time comes in motor at 95f and my turnigy 240 esc was also under 100f running x642.Just nead to stop the back from kicking up at full throttle.

Is it one of the Osbourne kits? Hard to tell from the video would be nice if the camera operator would zoom in so you could see better. Looks like the nose is being pushed down bigtime.
Maybe too much power, prop or a strut adjustment or even moving the CG back some

Thanks Jim it is an Osbourne kit.It will do the same thing using a X438,X437-3blade,x642 and even tried prather220 going to try X440 next. The boats CG is about 3/4-1" back from the sponson. The battery runs across the hull near to the rear of the sponson.I think because ride pads where added to get it to run right it might made the AOA to steep? Its really a big improvement from the start of the summer when it first went in.

diftah The pond is off Hwy 27 north of the 407 in woodbridge.

This was how it first ran before the ridepads where added running a feigao 7XL
it would just slap the sponsons up and down then roll.

From the first run to that last run after adding the ride pads did you change anything in the setup? prop, cog?

Whats your strut dept and angle and where's the COG?

Flatten out your strut and try it, its pointing way down-which drives the nose down

                    Thanks guys for your input.
The original sponson depth was about 1/2" now its 3/4" with the pad and the strut is 5/8" to the bottom of the strut and it was set flat.I did try dropping it a bit but still went under at high speed.

                        Where's the COG?

I try to balance my boats that when it goes airborne it flies level, then adjust the strut for ride attitude.

The COG is about 3/4"-1" behind the sponson.I will try adding some up angle and see what happens I was also told to try raising the strut and see if I can get the front looser. One thing the has not done is blow over backwards yet!I will not be able to test again until the weekend.

Tested again this weekend after raising the strut abit and adding a little up angle and some weight to move the CG back too about 2" from the sponson. It was a little better running the x437/3 and still wanted to hop and dive with the X642 still nead to try a m440.So far the leopard 4074 seams great 4 minutes running time at 3/4 throttle motor was cold with the X437/3 amp draw low 80 with 106 peak battery temp 108 F and used 3300mah running mid 30's.
I took a quick movie with my still camera but when you try and zoom in it gets a little blurry.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNZUzvEMnNc
