Pete had his on board cam for the 5 heats of Open cat.

He had a funky 50" cat with 10S2p or something on a big Lehner & Schulze esc.

A few sppots through the second half show my orange 30" cat with turnigy t600 1400kv motor, 5S2p (mainly for weight) popping by passing him doing 50Mph +.

    I was using said motor, 5s2p 4 year old Hyperion 25c cells, T180 esc and a thinned & D/T x450

Long video... I also do a back flip in front of the cam one time landing paws first.

These $30 motor are looking great so far.

Big prop when adding more volts? I love my 545. I would start a bit smaller...450 is a big blade. Think I would start with a little more pitch and stay around the same blade mm. 642 then to a 645 or something at first.

              We'll likely start with a 642 & than a 645-just what I suggested to him today !

Yeah; I just threw a 545 on my moto-x fun boat Titan 29/1515 1Y today & rocked over the gasserwater

I wish we gps'd it, I think Pete's cat was previouly gps'd near 60 or something?

The hull itself weighed in at 3.5lbs bare. Wide, 13" handles chop like nothing.

I like the Genisis but, would like hull only.

That has potential to do 70+ mph in SAW I'm sure with that motor & hull, turns nice at this point too. Nicely done!

seems to have really high rpm for 4s and 1400 kv, maybe it under rated

Mike is a meticulous builder [with a CNC machine] I don't have all the details, but next weekend I'll try to get some more pictures/description(s).

Paul, I might have been mistaken on the batteries-I'll know more when Mike & I get together next weekend. It was a busy day; FOUR FE boaters at the lake at once with a total of eleven boats !!!! Things are starting to get rolling FE-wise in LA !!

                            Guys,

I'd better clear a few things up. (I just got on)

                            T600 outrunner 1400kv
                            6s 4000 mah 30c (2x 3s)
                            K45 prop
                            Turnigy 180 using separate BEC
settings: Fwd only, 6s, 3.4 cutoff, 15 degrees timing
                            HD 1501mg servo
                            Spektrum MR200 Rx
                            150 flex cable
                            6mm to 150 coupler

1st run was a liitle over 2 mins
                            Motor: 145 degrees
                            Battery: 110 degrees
                            ESC: 95 degrees

I need to do some tweaks for next week and use my new 5000 mah 35c packs

                            Mike

                              I opted for 5S so I could turn a larger prop @ 28,000rpm instead of 32,000.

                              Temps are very comfortable.
