    Twin outboard Titan 40

Here is a video of my AeroMarine Titan 40.

2 of the older Graupner 820GTX outboards.
2 820 to 540 mounting conversion plates(I bought them years ago from a German company but forgot where)
    2 BlackJack 1600kv motors.
    2 BlackJack 45amp esc's
    2 Hyperion 35x 6500 to each.
    2317.45 and 2317.45L props.

I haven't used it much since the bl conversion. This is only about the second run. I have to do some tweaking to fix the handling issues. But I thought I would share what I have so far. Next I'm going to add a pair of tabs to help it stop from laying on its side. If anyone has other suggestions, please let me know?

And before anyone yells. I don't normally drive the boats in that small area. But the winds were very high after the storm came threw. We had to find some shelter.

The picture is my son Anthony, who normally doesn't like rc boats to much. But once he raced some people at the nats found a new challenge.

Thanks. But the nice paint, is just cheap vinyl. I don't have the patience for painting.

Steven, that's one cool boat. One thing that may be making it rock so much, in my opinion, is the high CG caused by the outboard motors sitting up where they are{and must be}. Some BIG trim tabs coupled with some ballast down low & on center may help. I take lead shot, put it in a plastic sandwich bag & tape the heck out of it with duct tape to make a easy to move or velcro down. Just my 2 pesos.

That's a good looking boat. I especially like the way it sounds, almost like the full sized outboards.

I had a friend in a machine shop make me two drive dog style shafts. Instead of the screw on style. So they are counter rotating.

I've had this boat for many years. The first couple of years I was blowing 820 motors on a daily basis. Turns out that the 820 graupner motor that was "supposed and marketed" as neutral timing was highly advanced. So when run in reverse one 820 was much slower then the other.

Hi Steven , I have a similar project in the works. Could you share a pic of the outboards setup on the rear. I set mine up they were even with the lowest part of the hull. same height as if I was running a single. This drove the rear up, and plowed the nose into the water. I'm having to make my own mounts to get the adjustability I need to get them up some.

Mine is setup like you are describing. The boat isn't with me here, its about 100 miles away. If I get to it this weekend I will get some pictures for you.

In the meantime share your hull and hardware specs. Maybe a picture?

The hull is an old Prather 40" deep vee, I use to run it with a k&b 7.5. I put a Rek lower unit with a sv 27 motor on it, and run it with a etti 150. it's such a light hull it runs fine with the small setup. But I would like to get twins running on it. I'll try and post some pics later this weekend.
