    Outrigger Airboat - 69amps got me 75.2MPH

At 2000watts, not bad for 75.2MPH. I know you all probably agree that to be considered a fast electric boat it needs to have a water prop. But I just wanted to share this cool, super efficient, fast airboat.

If you don't mind, what were the motor, prop and voltage on the record run? I have followed your builds on RCAW but it was tough to figure out your setup. Congrats!

            Thanks. I used:
            S-4020-12 scorpion motor
            11x8 ACP prop
Castle Creations Ice HV 160 (over kill, I know)
Two turnigy nano tech 2200mAh 4s 45C in series

With fully charged batteries, it drew 69 amps, voltage dropped to 28 volts, so about 2000watts. Prop rpm was 14000.

Great job......My first boat ever was an airboat that I made from car parts and model plywood. I have been wanting to make one out of a boogie board. Very impressive to say the least.

As best I can remember, this is the fastest airboat ever posted on OSE.

We don't post many airboats here, too bad.

Yes, that is my set up Steve. I also built a dual version.

Yes Steve, I built that up on a MM. I also built a dual turbine version. I am more impressed with the current post than what I have done.
