Finally got video uploaded. 1527 motor, castle 240hv, 18 volts 2p, x646 prop. runs around 80-82mph and 65-67mph on 14 volts. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9UtnDhOr9U Somethings wrong with vid. It didnt upload that clear for some reason. I will try the other one soon. Boat was running around 80-82 in the straights on Data logger and back up GPS. I couldnt go down the end of lake where I normaly run where there is much much more room. Where i am in video i had to be carefull because there's a lot of crap down the end of each side so i took the turns slow to drive around it. You will see she gets cought up in some stuff a few times. Lakes are real shallow around here do to lack of rain. This was taken a few weeks back when boat first hit water.

Its a 1527 1d motor. Boat just ran a best of 83mph. I got to go to the middle of the lake, no one was around, and run it 150 -175 yards flat out. This hull is fantastic and never skips a beat. Wish i bought one years ago.PT-45, 109mph, finally gave up after last bad crash

Made some changes .......boat ripped off a 71mph on 14 volts and 91mph on 18 volts with a blow over. {Could only back it up with 88 mph and cold batteries}I knew i should have put alittle prop angle in but chanced it anyway . No harm done and still nice and dry. Going back thursday to verify again and dial it in more.PT-45, 109mph, finally gave up after last bad crash

I will try and get my son to come with me and video it.Its 25 min. to the lake and you have to be there right before dusk so the wind dies down and before you know it its to dark. Add that to not having anyone fishing or boating, no wind , sun still up, and someone there to video you can see why i dont do it as much. Any how the changes where a jump in prop to a modded x648 cut down to a x647 , removal of the turn fin, pre heat batteries to 110 degrees and adjust strut to run the hull real light {dangerous} Also found throttle adjustment 15 clicks neg. so moved it up to 5 positive .I will give it another crack thursday night.Last edited by Gary; 08-19-2010, 10:23 PM.PT-45, 109mph, finally gave up after last bad crash

I hear ya with the "all things have to be perfect". It actually becomes somewhat stressful! Sometimes the wind picks up in the process of me taping my hatch! Gotta hit that window of opportunity. I wish I hit it with the housing market
I kind of figured you didn't have the turn fin on in that vid. That thing is really running smooth....like a dart across the water. Where is your CG?Comment
