Yah... that's interesting... because our experience here has been that the boats are pretty evenly matched in the smooth, but in the rough water, the Raptor has had an edge. I'm sure Setup and prop selection is the key either way.Darin E. Jordan - Renton, WA

Comparing these two - or any two similar hydros - is futile unless everything is as close as possible. Just having a more suitable prop can make one boat look better than another. For a "real" test, take the two boats fully optimized by experienced racers and race them together, or alone with a stopwatch and the same driver. Lap times and finishes are what matter in a race - not top speed or some observed "instability".
The two hulls are still being developed, although in some areas they seem pretty close to optimized.

We werent trying to make any kind of statement..just having some fun.
The Raptor is mine It was running s-15, the JAE a H-7 ( I think ). They run ~ the same speed. Still working on the Raptors turning although it has improved.Boats don't win races, drivers do.Comment
