    Venom EKOS 57.7mph

Thanks to my wife and a new flip video camera, I finally got footage of my ekos on 4s, feigao 380-9xl's, turnigy 120's, cf-40 props, gps'd @ 57.7mph thanks to Jeff Wohlts wire drives!

Sweet running EKOS; How much run time are you getting out of that setup?

4-7 minutes tops with 40mm props. Maybe 10 minute run-times with 32mm props and speed at around 50mph.

I have read that 4s lipo is allot for the 380xl to handle. Would you say that your motors are running hot? Or based on your experience you think they can handle the 4s?

They can absolutely handle 4s. I never run the motors long enough to get dangerously hot. Any fast electric setup will overheat if its overpropped and run for too long. 40mm props are a little big for the 380 sized cans, 32mm props are ideal in my opinion for the ekos. Far less heat from the motors but still enough prop to get the ekos into the upper 40mph range.

I have everything the same, except 30c 4s lipos and venom props. What are the cf-40 props?

Good vid and well run on that water. That is as windy or choppy as I would ever run on and maybe more.
I like my pond to be near glass smooth and and breeze above a few mph gives me the heebie jeebies for running Cats fast. Riggers yes buts cats no !
