    Sprintcat Pictures

These are some pictures of my Sprintcat running. I can't get the camera to take a clear picture. I'll play with the camera settings to see if it helps, maybe its just not a good enough camera to pick up the boat going by at 50mph.

The pictures are at a house that I'm working on in N.H. Its 2hrs from my house so I've been sleeping there during the week. After work I walk off the deck down to the water, drop the boats in and go.

Gotta love the sprintcat!! I completely tore mine down to a bare, sanded hull. Gonna try something much different than the old setup. Lookin' good man!

Right now it is 1521/1.5d, cc lv240, 4s2p, x450. I am changing it this weekend though. I have a 1527/1y, cc hv240, 6s2p on my workbench ready to go in it. The motor/esc that are in it now are going into my df33. Can't wait to get the new stuff in both boats, should be good setups I hope.

Always loved Sprint Cats above all other boats. Would love to see a picture of the setup in/on the boat. Nice looking cat.

It is a great place to work. This was a short job, but I built the house next to this one 3 yrs ago and was there for 10 months. I bought my first FE boat when I started the house and have been hooked ever since.

I got the 1527/1y and HV240 in and bench tested, The esc didn't go up in smoke on plug in so that's a good start. It's been raining here all weekend so the test run will have to wait til next weekend. I have a x450 on it to start with and also have a x452, x455 to test if all goes well.

It is going to fly! Hope you're ready to see mid sixties with that 455! I got around 56 mph with the 452 as well.

Not yet, but it should be tomorrow morning if the wind and weather are okay. My wife and I are actually away for a few days. The best part is the house we're staying at is lakefront!!! I brought three boats to play with while she goes shopping.

I'll post the results as soon as I run it.

I made it by cutting up the stock "classic" hatch. Here are some pics of the proccess.

I took it out for the first time with the 1527/1y. I didn't get the performance I was hoping for. I'll have to check the transmitter and esc settings to make sure everything is correct.

It was in the low 40s with a x450. After the 3 min run - lipos, esc, and motor were all in the mid 80 deg range.

I'll check everything and put on a x452 and make another run later.

Any thoughts on what the problem could be?

Where is the strut depth at? Def go with a bigger prop. Set the timing at at least 15 degrees. Male sure the lvc is properly set. A x455 if you have one will make it fly!! You need to load the motor to get the performance you want out of it. I tried a x648 and had very poor speed. Put the strut at .5" above the sponson bottoms at neutral angle.
