propped up H&M getting some speed !

After dialing it in with an X642, propped up to an M445. The previous owner[s] set the rudder so close to the prop that, while there wasn't any clearance issues with the X642, anything larger would hit the rudder Speed has gone up considerably {with more prop to go}. Am moving rudder now. Enjoy the straightline passes

Thanks, Jesse !The "flutters" are from chopping the throttle & the boat setting down. I'm moving the rudder now so I can go bigger yet on the prop; the
1515 1Y has spun an M447 on the DF33 on occasion. This boat doesn't run nearly as wet as the DF so there's way more prop to go

            Tony,

Hydro looks really nice! We are running that 1515/1Y in our P-hydros with m545 and m645 for oval racing... In a SS21 we are seeing 56-60mph...

Keep up the great videos!! By the way, what camera?
Nothing like keeping you lipos warm and your prop wet!!

I should have the rudder-moving project completed tomorrow. Will likely try an
M545 next, then ?? I like to take baby steps, propwise

The camera's a Kodak Zi6 ; comes with software to load directly to youtube. Check out Walrusmart, there's a newer model out as well.

                  Tony,
I told you that the sponson mods were originally for SAWs. She'll go a LOT faster. Put a V942/3 on and see what she'll do.

Brian, I seem to remember that you said somewhere that you did the sponson mods to run 80mph or so. Lord have Mercy !! [ I'll see about acquiring the prop]

                      More H&M with M445

Today's runs had to stop before the GPS was mounted. M445 ; rudder moved over to allow more prop, made a straighter turn fin & she settled down nicely. Next on the menu will be a M545, then ?? Temps lukewarm BTW.

Proper, I have a V937/3 that I am not using (it just looked cool so I bought it). You are welcome to play with it if you want. You seem the type to send it back if I ever want to play with it.

Teach, I totally appreciate your kind offer, but I'm going to respectfully pass. I've used a 937/3 and a 942/3 on a smaller boat, and I experienced the usual cavitation on launch problems. The H&M is tank-like ; CG forward at the sponson tips, 2 heavy 5000 mah batt's, & 8 oz. of lead in the nose. ( The rather wide nose has lots of aero lift, & to minimize blowovers I have it set up that way.) The high pitch 3 bladers are great rigger props, but I'm afraid I'd have to throw-launch the H&M to get her going . Thanks again, my friend !
