    Here are a couple of pictures of my ECO boat;

    A Graupner ECOPower. Maybe not the fastest ECO boat out there but huge fun as sport boat. Powered by a Leopard 2848.

        Yep - they are vents for the flood chamber. The flood chamber makes the boat self righting should it flip over.

          Ahhh thats very cool. I have never seen that incorporated in a boat. I have heard of it but never seen it. Do you have a video of flipping itself over? How does the water drain once it has flipped back over? It is a very interesting concept.

            Sorry - I do not have a video but it works very well. There is a hole in the transom that allows for clearing of water from the flood chamber by venturi effect when the boat is underway. Flood chambers are a common feature in mono fast electrics on this side of the pond. If the boat flips while racing you get to continue with the race. It also saves the use of a rescue boat or having to wait for a model to drift into the side of the lake in the event of a flip.
            Here is a video that I found on YouTube of a tenshock eco self righting:

              I really like that concept. Now they just need to sell that with all the rtr boats.. Then you would be set lol.

                I am just finishing a ECO V.2 Merlin boat built by KDM I hope to run this weekend. Self-righting I am done going to get my boat.

                Nicely built first class design and workmanship. Boat comes all built as you see it just add your motor, esc, battery and radio.
                Different options are offered I got CF, safety switch (plug) and a few extras.

                  @cuppa sorry for hijacking your thread.. I got a little carried away with the self righting chambers.. Great looking boat you have. It looks like a blast to drive. Hopefully we can get a video of it in action!
                  @Mike Caruso that is a neat looking little boat you have there.

                    Hey PowerDemon

                    No need for an apology - you did not hijack the thread.

                    Nice V.2 Merlin Mike. Eco boats are huge fun and handle really well.
