Apparition's , River Cats can go well!!!!

Well my first racing season has been all wrapped up until next year.

I bought a 2nd hand Apparition twin for fun and the boat bug bite me hard. So after smashing my Apparition on the rocks at Boondal a new bare hull was purchased and thanks too Paul he screwed it together for me with the intent to race in EB Cat ( 6S )

To cut a long story short I managed to repair the busted up Apparition on a tight budget to race it in EA Cat (4S) with Paul's advice on KV motors needed I purchased some cheap Dr Mad Thrust motors and E bay Turbojet ESC's.

I was warned that these Cat's will be a handful. They were right but after some tuning and race experience as the year went on both Cat's held up rather well. Both are twin set up's. The 6S has a counter prop set up while the 4S is a non counter set up and oddly went really well in the corners.

Both ended up 3rd overall in their classes and to say i'm happy will be a understatement . The 4S was easily the fastest on the water due to it's smallish size .

Unfortunately the 6S does go really well up down the long straights lacking nothing to the other cats but was a real handful in the choppy windy corners. So I purchased a TFL Cheetah to join the big boys next year and is almost ready to do some tuning as it's my first FE build. A 4S Apparition is going to be raced but I will be converting the 6S to a 4S racer and the original Apparition will eventually be a Boondal fun sporting boat in it's semi retired life. LOL.

A Big thank you to Paul for his expert help and advice. To Trev and Ray thank you too it's been awesome.

They were both quicker than I thought they would be.
Great job in your rookie season Mark.
