    TFL Apparition - Monster Energy

    Hi all,
I just finished reconditioning my TFL Apparition. The hull was starting to show some signs of wear and cracks after a year of my lessons into the FE world. I decided to go with a Monster Energy theme, as I thought it would be very simple to implement.
I am running a 3/16 single piece flex shaft, with offset dual intake rudder. ESC is an RCBB 200A unit, which is a rebranded Flier Model ESC. I am currently running a 3814 three blade prop off a 1950kv 3659 Turnigy on 6s. My intention is to find a more suitable kv motor, however I am finding it difficult to locate motor that will fit the stock hatch. Any suggestion are welcome.

And with my twin outboard Pursuit (before the Monster Decals)

I was aiming at that kv. The problem is finding a nice motor with maximum 60mm can length. Any ideas?

I have a 1521 (83mm) in mine... is there a reason why you cant fit a bigger motor? maybe a neu 1515? (68mm)
that is probably the smallest motor id put. you might could get away with a 1512 neu (60.96mm)

I think the reason that he can’t fit a bigger motor is because in the photos the motor mount appears to be angled up so far that the longer motor hits the hatch.

Those are my thoughts as well. Here is a photo showing the motor position from profile. Perhaps kfxguy may be able to shed light if this is an issue or not for a 1521

My motor angle isn't that much. Here's some examples....
