I didn't understand a word of your thread, but the pictures tell a good story. Very nice.
I've just recently finished one of those myself, so I understand what went into yours pretty well.
What motor & ESC are you running?
I trust we will see some video of it running.

I tested the boat for the first time, it did not go so well: at higher speeds I cannot make it turn the way I want; the faster it goes, the less manouverable it is. Do you have any idea how to fix this?

Hydroplanes are designed to turn in one direction, yours will want to turn right, it will not like turning left. They also do not 'turn on a dime'. Try running some more, keep your speed up and constant and make circuits of the pond. You may also want to look for a wedge rudder they work better.NZMPBA 2013, 2016 Open Electric Champion.
