    Darryl, did you use a 3/16 one piece flex shaft or a 4mm one.

      Trevor I used a one piece 3/16 flex shaft it comes with a 3/16 two piece..!

        Thanks mate, did you have to replace the plastic tube the flex shaft goes in or did you use the old one.

            Hi Razzle, so the only thing you did was replace the 2 piece flex shaft with a single piece 3/16" flex shaft? Did you have to replace the stuffing tube as well? If not, does water get in the boat, since the two piece flex shaft is a larger diameter than 3/16" and I figured keep the same stuffing tube and Teflon tube would allow water to enter the boat.. I am looking to replace mine to a single flex as well, but not sure of all items/parts that need to be replaced. Thanks for any info you can provide.

              HangTheMan....No need to replace the stuffing tube and Teflon but you need to put a rubber grommet between transom and strut, the rubber grommet inner diameter needs to be same as Teflon to slide through into strut and you will get no leaks. So all you need to get is 3/16 flex, drive dog, 3/16 Teflon washer and grommet.
