    Bill Oxidean's Drag Boat Project

Hey gents, just wanted to share my Big Block Chevy drag boat with you (and its NOT an N-1 mono lol!)

1978 Eliminator bubbledeck, Berkeley pump, ride plate, shoe, droop snoot, stuffer, inducer.

Big Block Chevy 540ci Bowtie block (this is a pure race block, not out of a chavelle) AFR 135cc aluminum heads, Moroso H-beam rods, Crane cam, Holley Dominator 1050 atop an Edelbrock super Victor intake, MSD Billet distributor 6al box, Jessel shaft mount roller rockers, solid lifter cam, ARP studs, too much to list. We're looking for 800+hp N/A1378319_10151931140062148_808239733_n.jpg993725_10151931140177148_1299995221_n.jpg2013-09-13_09.56.07.jpg1374048_10151931139852148_679223319_n.jpg

Yeah, the boat is very beautiful too, also the engine is impressive...
I still have a smile when i think of your n1 mono and that cat you have for the 2013 Saw.
        Happy holidays!
Too many boats, not enough time...

D, I picture you scooping up a classic hydro or vee hull for a modest resto with your Christmas bonus one season : )

People lose interest or money and these things are the first thing to go. You live in raceboat land. I wouldnt be surprized if you did a barn find that needs little more than some elbow grease and a motor freshen up for a grand or less!

bill look great...nothing better then raw horsepower in a jet...my last boat was a picklefork Daytona dragster with a little less horsepower and it did 104 in the quarter......good luck with it..oh ya reinforce the backs of the seats...they really pull hard off the line with that many horses....
                    MY RETIREMENT PLAN?????.....POWERBALL

Ron, don't be surprized if you see me in a "19" foot Daytona picklefork myself next season. I feel that this is a bit too much power for a non-air assisted hull (my bubbledeck). I should be right around 100 with this setup in my bubbledeck.
I've got my eyes open for an Eliminator Daytona, an Earl Smith Texas Tunnel, or a Mach One Tunnel/jet thats had the pump already set back, and bottom work done. If I can steal a pretty one for 5gr or less, count me in!

How fast do you think its going to run a 1/4 mile. 18' boat, 800hp, and a droop snoot jet...that be good flight.

You know? I'm not super familliar with ET's and top speed, but I'm lookin' for 106+ : )
I'm nervous, but not AFRAID of the boat. I just have a healthy respect Especially after knowing quite well what this small ones we've got do when overpowered.
I'm basically the "Driver Figure" lol!

Here's Me blasting off in the San Juaquin Delta, my old 468 BBC (that I've put a rod through the Gen IV block), and the brand new upholstery.. My old BBC had an Edelbrock Victor jr, and a 950 Pro-Form double pumper. All those parts are going on my spare 454.
