New guy here with a bad memory

Hi folks my name is Mike. I have just gotten back into the RC boat world with the purchase of an Impulse 31 (V2) and the next day I bought the Black Jack 29 to keep the Impulse company. Im not going to post pics of those two as im sure you all have seen them time and time again, they are stock right now but wont be for long. I have many different RC projects right now and the two new boats puts the total to 15 different models. My wife just shakes her head but is otherwise fine with it,she never asks "how much was it this time" and I never tell so it works out perfect
I had 10 RC models about 30 years ago including 4 rc boats, I scanned some old photos I had in an old shoe box while taking a trip down memory lane with the missus one night and after looking over the boats all I can remember about them is one was a Dumas Hotshot 21. The other boats I cant remember for the life of me what they were. Perhaps one of you might be able to tell. The large scale ship was a model of a German Whaler that was built from a Canadian Corvette class ship if memory serves me. On the small black boat the wing was not stock, it was made out of balsa wood and glued on. I have no idea what the nitro hull was and the length was about 36 to 40".OK enough chat here are some 30 year old pics.

Hi Spanky, welcome to the forums from another "modified" BlackJack 29 owner. I too came from a nitro world. I was chuckling to myself looking at the prop angle on the photo3 boat. It must ride with its butt up in the air at that angle.

I used to race with a guy in Shreveport with a guy who had a Hot Shot liek that. Fast but crazy noisy.

Hi Alan thanks for the welcome. I never noticed the angle until you mentioned it and you are sure right on that one. I bought that boat used but it had a dead motor so I never ran it. I ran the Hotshot a couple of times and then the con rod went in the old K&B so that put an end to that as well. The only boat that I never had any problems with was the old electric whaler, I ran that one with a motorcycle battery, it helped with ballast.
