    whiplash sport 40

    here is my whiplash my first build of a kit boat its got a castle 1717 motor and castle 200 hv esc running 6s hyperion batterys let me know what you guys think thanks, geno

    Beautiful ! It looks really good with the Whiplash cowl.

    Set your strut dead flat and 5/8" clearence between bottom of stern and setup board. Any higher and hull will run too wet on sponsons. I use a slightly detunged Octura x455 to get hull on plane quickly. I will add slightly more cup at prop tips for faster speeds later.

        I also have a whip 40 with a 1717 in it my first run will be this sunday,I'm starting with a x447 prop detunged. let me know how that 455 does. thanks Ron

                Love my .40 whip (right now it's my favorite boat I've ever run) Fred Siewert in Mi built mine so I can't take any credit for that, but at the Mi Cup race in back to back heats Myself and Mike Ball (running a PT SS45) ran almost identical times both Shattering the existing Q-Sport Hydro record. I actually ran a very modded prather S250 but I'm using a NEU 1527/1Y.

                        i got 2 6s 5000 mah 45c hyperion packs in mine but had to modify the depth of the hull to fit them. also very sad to say i lost control an hit a tree was not a pretty sight so back to the drawing board
