    My Aquacraft Hammer

I got this boat from a friend, but it needed a controller and a battery. I upgraded the controller to a 2.4 GHz, and the battery is a 8.4v 3300 MAH Traxxas 7 cell. This boat is a lot of fun and I plan on doing a few more upgrades to it soon. Id like to add a metal prop and maybe an aluminum rudder set up, only because I think it would look cool. Here are some before and after pics. When I got it, the sticker/graphics were a bit bubbled up, and those on the deck were not lined up symetrical, so I removed most of them and I really like the new cleaner look. Hope yall like my boat!!!

I used a pro boat widowmaker rudder system for my hammer along with a 32mm 3 blade prop. 8.4v on the stock motor and stock esc. Going bigger than a 30mm things get hot pretty quick. I removed the stock water pick up to allow for different props. I used abs glue to seal the hole since it is an abs hull. I installed a fan because the stock water cooling does not work all to well. I also put on rio ep trim tab/turn fins. I was running this boat on a river that averages a flow of 700fps. Not a fast boat but 1 of the most fun to run boats I have had. You have a good fun and practical boat.

Would the rudder fit the stock set up, and if so, do you have a pic?

adam777, Tower Hobbies has a version of this boat, called "Power Vee EP RTR", and sells for around $100.00. Aquacraft no longer makes the "Hammer", but they do have one called "Rio EP" that has the same or similar running gear as far as the motor and all. A co-worker gave me the boat, and I had to get a battery, radio/controller/receiver, and of course a charger. After it was all set up, we found that the ESC wasn't working properly and it was replaced with one from Aquacraft. I really like this boat, but I want to add some fins for quicker turning without spinning out, and also want to add a better prop for a little more speed.

my one friend, who is in this hobby once said to me that if I ever want to get into this hobby he can give me an Rc Båt but in that case I have to make it run. for that I have to buy a battery, radio/controller/receiver, and of course a charger. that is a tough job for me as a beginner. so I think to buy a ready to run RC boat. I asked him for this he told me that he can buy one for me in £60.
