    New Electric Rigger

    Hi, Here are some pics of my new rigger. It is a scaled up version of the smaller rigger, which was built from the Predator plan (free download!).
    The small rigger;
    3300kv 3650 motor, unknown chinese brand.
    3S Turnigy nano 4500 35c
    Esc sk90
    Prop X632
    Does sub 19 second laps.

    New Rigger
    Aquastar 3974 2200kv
    T-180
    4S, 2 x 2S 5000 40c turnigy
    Took it for a first run yesterday mostly to check the basics, temps, handling etc. It ran well with some tweaking to strut adjustment and turn fin needed. No speed yet as I don't have a gps, but I'm really only concerned about how fast it can go round the oval! Some new dinogy batts are in my sights as well!

      Now if i remember right on my former riggers, the turn fin was more bent in about a strong 1/4". This bend was up 1" from the bottom of turn fin. Looks great!! I think the riggers were Assassin from UK or Fluids rigger. Lipos- get some high C ratings which will pay in the long haul. I' waiting for whats his name for the new Renegade rigger.

          Thanks guys. Ive reshaped the turn fin which I probably should have done to start with. Hope to run it again this weekend.

            Ok I got some more running done on Sunday, the changes made to the turn fin work.. After adjusting the strut up it is running quite well and I was able to beat out a T1 thunderboat in two races. It is not much quicker than the original smaller rigger, but runs much more stable due to the larger size. Plenty of room for some more speed yet. Motor and esc are around 40degC, batts are around 55 deg after run. Prop is a 1740 s/s proboat prop. I have a borrowed 447 I will play with, but it might be a bit big.

              You don't want the batt's any hotter.

                  86.6 KPH = 55 mph Not bad. Picture of turn fin and strut. 442 prop is too much. I like 637 with less kv with more power. That's me tho!

                      Happy to see the functions and engine power with 3S Turnigy nano 4500 35c and 3300kv 3650 motor in New Electric Rigger. I will try to use it soon...!

                            I can't make one like this. I am new to this hobby and I can only drive a ready to drive RC toys.
