    Castle ICE 100 water cooled

Talk to Castle about building this marine speed control. This is before shrink wrap. It needs a Pistix for wheel radios.

WAY ahead of you Lohring. Getting it pushed into production is the difficult part. One of my sponsored guys and I tested them out all last summer in every hull and power system imaginable. They did extremely well.

Great! Your speed controls are the best despite my serious attempts to abuse them over the years.

I have been running an ICE100 in my P-LSH boat for almost two years and it is bulletproof. I did install a 25mm fan on it but that's all the cooling there is. It runs fine pulling 80-90 amps average in 100*F heat just fine, never a bobble from the ESC. The only time it has quit on me was when the PiStix got damp. A watercooled version would be great, especially if it had as much forward throttle range as the air version does. We don't need no stinking reverse in a racing controller - but I realize the reality of marketing a new controller to as wide a demographic as possible.

Just as a note I have been able to run the air ICE controllers using a wheel radio without a pistix. Just need to adjust the EPA's and sub trims and works like a ICE marine.

As have I. It works well with my Spektrum DX3R-Pro... It is helpful to, once everything is setup and working, rebind the RX to the TX so that the fail-safes get properly set... There isn't a lot of room at the bottom end of the throttle, and I have had some run-ons when the boat flips from time to time. LOVE having this option, however...

Sorry to bring up a old thread but I use the DX3R-Pro and since I am running ALL airplane controllers in my boats I set the throttle calibration so that when you let off the trigger the throttle is at full zero. This works great if you are using the radio just for boats with airplane controllers in them because if you want to switch to a different model with a regular controller you have to re-calibrate the radio again.

Tyler I am interested to see how you are adjusting the end points and sub trims to get the radio working without a pistix.

I am also interested to see if you guys are running the controllers in airplane mode using fixed end point or auto calibration?

I'll look up the settings when I return from a business trip and post them.

                  Raydee,

I can save off the settings for you and e-mail you the file if you like... I run the ICE 100 in my Lynx, and have a couple of ICE 200's that I also run with this TX... Works great.

Yeah that would be great. I will PM you my address. Also can you tell me if you guys are running in airplane mode and if so are you using Autocalibrate or fixed end points?

I'll double-check the settings tonight, but I'm pretty certain that it's AP mode, with fixed end points. The rest is all in the TX. Basically, you have to fool it into thinking it's a stick TX by moving a couple of the trim settings to their extremes. I'll get you the file tonight, and will also try to post the settings here...

Ok so then you have to calibrate the throttle end points. I have been running all mine in Airplane mode but with auto calibrate and they seem to work great with the way I have my radio setup but I would def like to try it the way you guys are using it and see if there is a difference.
