    tip. good work surface

i use this stuff to put all my boats on when i work on them. you can find it pretty much anywhere they sell kitchen supplies. its nice and soft, has holes so small stuff just falls though, and it grips really well. so much so i route wood on it without clamping!! http://www.amazon.com/Grip-Shelf-Dra.../dp/B002OJDZRA

Great stuff Dana. Ive got some on my bench as well. Ive also used it to sandwich in between pliers for wrenching on things you dont want to scratch. And, I have 6x6 squares of it cut in the grage and kitchen to grip jars etc that are stubborn to open or hold on to.

Works great under batteries while strapped down in the boat. Keeps em from squirming around so much.

Wally World (Walmart) also sells it in the kitchen department. They have it in several colors.

I am also told they use this as a lay-over to spray carbon fiber affect with auto paint.

The wife has it in the kitchen cabinets and I cant stand it.All the dishes stick to it and messes it up.Id try it as a work surface if it didnt already get on my nerves.Good idea though.
