So I was trying to remove a piece of wood I had epoxied to the floor of my boat and accidently ripped it off and some of the flooring material came off. I believe what’s exposed would be fiberglass? I epoxied over the area is that good enough? Will it keep that area strengthened?

Yes.
It looks as though you only ripped off some of the gel coat. The glass cloth is still in tact. The epoxy will seal & maintain the strength.

See the danger. THEN DO IT ANYWAY!!!
