Is that a better option compared to the etti esc?

There are also some options at alien power systems out of the U.K.
A little cheaper but may stand up to the sf300..

The Etti's are stellar in my book. A bit jumpy off the line but that wouldn't matter on a hydro. I am running a pair on 12s with 1020 Kv motors in a Cat and they have been outstanding. They are efficient runners.

They are the old count the beeps and pull trigger type with the instructions in front of you. Doesn't take long but peace and quiet and concentration is the key.

So there is a 'no cut off' option and then your choices 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 cells. I am pretty sure you can run a higher cell count but the voltage cutoff will remain at the lower setting. I have done this with other controllers too.
