    classic hydro refrance pictures

Im building a 35" wooden classic hydro. Im wanting it to look as scale as possible!!! I plan on making a rudder for it to match a period correct rudder. what im having trouble with and hoping ya'll could help me with is pictures of period correct turn fins and how they are mounted to the hull. Im going for the '60s era. no specific boat in mind just yet, just in the research stage of my project. Any links or pics yall may have would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks ahead of time for any help.

        Daniel.
Have a look through this page. They're hydros from the East coast. Then click on the West coast & International headings in the menu on the left of the page for even more stunning paintings.

        Enjoy.
        Paul.
See the danger. THEN DO IT ANYWAY!!!

That is an amazing site!!! Seeing all the sponsored boats makes me wish sponsors would pick up Hydro racing again. make a nationally recognized sport.
but anyway back to my original post at hand. I guess from the photos on these 2 links yall provided, Im I correct to assume most vintage hydros didn't have turn fins and if so they are very small? I guess due to the weight of a big lycoming 16 cyl engine and the slower speeds they weren't really needed. so with that being said im almost positive im going to need a turn fin on my rc boat....hhhmmm
