Whiplash sport 40 or an ML Boatworks 40 size sport hydro would be alternatives.

Here's a 44" Hydro I just got, The cowl is a little ugly but I'm fixing that and I'm using a Leopard 5698 910kv on 10s in it http://www.mountainhobbiesrc.com/mou...tom-ord44.html and some pics of my build download.jpg

Too small for a hot 6S setup, the OP wants a 36"+ hull.

Whip, ML, Thomas. Any of the three can win on any given Sunday. The Thomas lacks the structure 6s needs if your going to race a bunch of laps. That's only my opinion. The shape is pretty good so its worth tinkering with. You have to be careful with Whips too. It's easy to get carried away hogging out space for batteries. To much head chipped out and it rips itself in half over time.

Popeye is too small for 6s. Jay is right on that.

If you like to build the ML Boatworks kits are the way to go in my opinion. Just recently finished my FE 1/8 scale Elam and will be building 3 more ML boat kits this winter.

The ML products are top notch quality and easy to build, in other words they ROCK!

Tks guys, Im surprised in the lack of choices in the hydro class, wonder why ?...yes I do like to build. H&M has some nice ones too but there in germany so with the value of the dollar compared to the euro plus the shipping puts it in the a bit too much $ ...I do like ML products, I love my PS295..guess from what yall are saying looks like its gonna have to be the ML....tks again guys.... Because the 1/8 scale boats are longer then the "36 inch + or - a inch or two...." tthe OP asked about.

I have an ML frame kit for 1/8. The fit really is good on the ML kits.

I've built 4 Whips. The fit's good on those too and easy to build. Brian has already done most of the homework on them too.
