What is another way to hold down the cowl besides what people use now

If the OP means he does not want to use tape to hold down and seal the hatch, he needs to perform a search for "tape" and read the responses. He'll learn a lot.

I have a 1994 Bud twin wing 72" I was just looking for a different way or should i just go with a push latch. I like the big rock Idea but it will scratch the paint. Ill try the sand bags

With a 72" you really may need the sand bags. Very nice size boat. What you running in it?
