    10XL on 5S?

Is it possible without damaging the motors? I have an EKOS with 120A esc's and 10XL's. I want to try 5S, will they blow my motors or ESC's? oh these are 380 - 10XL's by the way. :)

Probably both. Too much. Have you run them with 4S each? How do they sound?

The good old days or just adding a couple Volts with round cells are gone.

I run them on 4500mAh - 4S with octura 442 props all the time. I would stick smaller props on to try 5S for sure but I don't want to wreck my boat experimenting lol

Thats over 43,500rpm unloaded. You'll probably get away with it once. If you decide to try it, be sure to get a video! I wanna see!!

I wouldnt recomend running 5s.If you want to run 5s, then get different motors that can safely be run on that voltage.I understand your desire for more speed, but your existing parts wont last long at all.If your gonna spend money on buying new parts because you blew them up,you may as well spend it on parts meant to take 5s.Then maybe sell what you have now.My EKOS runs around 50 now,and you can tell its close to blow over(Ive done it once so far).Too many blow overs can damage your hull too.Maybe invest in some 540 motors. Not hard to open up the motor mounts for the bolt pattern.

I've pushed mine to 54.93 mph and love it. A friend has a pair of 5S that will fit in my hull. I was just curious if they would fry my gear and by the sounds of it it's not a good idea. IF I did do it it would be once and in a straight line.

The timing value on the ESC's was set to 5. It's high and i do not get much run time out of my batteries.
