Does anyone think these motor's would work on 5s, 442's and CC240's lv?

Probably would work fine, but twin motors running 6s is gonna be a lot of battery weight for that hull. It already sits pretty low in the water with large 4s packs!

Actually I think I'd go with the Feigao 540xl 2,0xx motor, and pull the mount's and replace with these.. why has no one thought of these motor mount's?

I think 540's on 4s is a better choice too. I think these mounts are better though. You can get them "flat" and bend them any way you want!

I had one that I planed to use on my pt21 build and it was tall. Probably too tall for the ekos hull. I want to keep it low to the hull. After I fiberglass these plastic mount's in they should be solid. I used one in an XzessEvo2 hull worked great.

How does your hull handle at 50mph?

50 mph is no sweat! Approaching 60 mph it gets pretty light. I ended up moving my esc's on top of the tunnel and the lipos forward into the sponsons to keep it planted when I ran it with the x-442s. It still was pretty sketchy @ 61mph which was the fastest she's gone.

Either will work ok. I'd actually think the xl's are a little overkill in the small 31-inch hull. "L" sized motors are more than enough if your upgrading to 540's. 8xl's will scream with 442's!

Rich, have you looked at the Venom King of Shaves threads? There are a few combos and set ups there that might answer a few questions. It will give you a good baseline idea on what you can do with yours.
