    Fiegao 380 XL motors

I have an EKOS awaiting steven's shipment of fiegao 380xl motors to arrive and can't figure out which pair of motors would be best for my setup. I have a pair of turnigy 120amp esc's, and want to run my 4s packs. I have a set of 32mm and 36mm venom machined props (3-blade). Also have a pair of counter rotating cf-40's (2-blade). Not sure which motors?? 8XL=2938kv, 9XL=2612kv, or 10XL=2352kv. I would appreciate some advice from the guru's

    For 4s, run the 10XL.

I think the 10xl is great for torque but as an all around the 9XL seems to be some good stuff..seen them run and they perform pretty damn good on 4S and amazingly on 5S with low mah packs...I bet the 10XL are very efficient whe nit comes to power use requiring less spool up and power drain..

2612kv on 5s = no WAY!! This is the same kind of thing people are doing on the stock setup to burn it up. You guys gotta realize, more kv plus more voltage doesn't always mean faster. Certainly not more efficient and definately not reliable!

2600 isn't really a high KV compared to the stock set up that the KOS runs on.. and I've seen people run 5S all the time..maybe not full throttle the whole run but I don't see if failing and top speed would be increased.

2600kv ist too much kv for 5s in a boat, period. Do what you want though.
