I have a King of Shaves 34" brushless. Has anyone played with the timing? The factory doesnt even know what the stock timing is nor what it should be! They can't even tell me the specs on the motor. Anybody know?

I played with the timing in all directions and the factory default setting is the best for power/cooling to be in the safe range. I honestly wouldnt go higher in the timing due to the possibility of motor failureThe RTR Nightmare- Electric King of Shaves

I may have inadvertently changed the factory timing, and venom can't tell me what it is.. What is it? 0?Comment

The factory default timing is setting #4 11.25deg. advance. You can use that or setting #1 which is 0deg. but if youuse anything higher you have to watch temps and adjust accordingly.

Now what if your running say colder water such as say 45-50 degree temps shouldn't be an issue at running more advanced timing shouldn't be a problem.Comment

I wouldnt touch the timing. These motors are tempermental enough, I would just leave it stock. Advancing the timing wont get you much anyways, maybe 1-2mph.The RTR Nightmare- Electric King of Shaves

I just ran my EKOS with stock motors and 3S lipo in 55F water, after 5 mins at WOT, motors and esc were just above the water temp about 62F. That was at 0 timing, so Im going to go up to the 11.25 this weekend and see how it runs.Comment

I SET MY TIMING TO - 0 ADDED 6 INLETS AND OUTLETS AND
AM HAVING NO ISSUES ON 4s,BUT,
(DO NOT RUN 4s ..... JUST BECAUSE IT WORKS FOR ME)
