Ok, I have come to the conclusion that my traxxas spartan needs a separate BEC. Now, should i get a whole new esc (seaking 180) or get a castle BEC for my stock system?
other question: if I get the New ESC will the higher amp rating make it so i wont need a separate BEC?

Why do you think you need a separate BEC. I've got a Spartan and 3 others and just run off the ESC ,I put the sea kings in all my boats ,just watch the caps,if you buy from OSE they have a larger cap bank than the ones on eBay

You can also plug a glitch buster into your reciever,7$
