Props on 5s!

Pump is cool.
When running, does water still "pressure" feed through the pump?

Heavy batteries and smaller diameter prop may be responsible for / contributing to your cavitation problem??

Thanks, when at speed water pressure increases and output almost triples so I guess that is a yes...? Once back sitting it just resumes normal operation. The pump does limit batter placement so I will have to Velcro it in from if the motor... The motor read 96F so I was happy, I didn't bother with ESC temps since it was barely warm. I hope I can run again today! That prop is just too small when I have those heavy batteries in there, it equals four average sized 3s lipos in weight... I wish I had a video because plane time is horrible! Lol

We get the 1:1 back tomorrow, hopefully the bad weather decides to run away... I am contemplating selling it and have in Kintec or OSE build me one. My little FASTech comes in today!!!!

I'm debating selling all my R/C stuff as well. Got back into it a few years ago because my youngest daughter was really keen on R/C helis and the boats were a natural for at the lake.

She's old enough now that hanging out with friends is way cooler than hangin' with dad

Ah well, that's life, was fun while it lasted.

Should decide soon I suppose, 'tis the season.

I ran my Spartan once today, flipped early on in the run to avoid debris but I was in the water so I recovered quickly! It handled very nice on the X442 once the strut was adjusted. Rides wet, but yet stable as long as I don't hit a wake... My pump has been pronounced dead... Aka: Saltwater ate it. Oh well, I may get another. All in all not bad before the rain started!
Since I have sold almost every RC I have owned I would say keep one so you have something to do during downtime... I don't know the size of your "fleet/collection" besides if you got rid of both Spartans who else would I ask questions???? :)

It's up to you, but you could be the "old" guy with all the toys! I'm the kid (18) with all the toys... And I pay for every part of RC, parents hate RC! Lol

Very nice! I have looked into getting a Cat. style hull for a little while. I need to build a PVC stand for when we are out in the 1:1 since my Kintec stand is falling apart. You could probably rake in some $ if you sold all but there is a saying---Who dies with the most toys wins!
