Just bought a spartan. Already broke both props lol. I am running the 8.4 batteries. What is a good metal prop for this boat. And what are some good cooling upgrades?

The closest metal prop to stock would be x442 I believe -
No larger prop then the recommended X442 if you are running Stock Motor and Stock ESC. You will melt the ESC if you go any larger prop, guaranteed. Dual water pick up is good for cooling, but you must have dual water out look. Have fun. Oh bye the way I am talking about running 2-3s 11.1volt batteries. Al.Comment

For the stock setup , and if you don't check to break top speed record , just want to have fun and bashing with your spartan , you can choose the grimracer 42 x 55 prop ! You got the same diameter , but a little less in pitch ! But the stock prop is a plastic made , so it flex when you put power on it ,and it loss some picth , so the copper one won't . The difference of top speed will be so small !! But if you want max speed from your setup , go for the x442 , not much , like the other tell you in this thread !!Comment

NICKB: did you buy the Spartan with the nihm option? I was thinking about doing the same,then I got thinking that the lipo option comes with batteries and chargers also,and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the factory lipos and chargers.traxxas makes it sound so simple to just plug and play their lipos with their chargers.is it really that simple? just mulling options over in my head first.Comment
