new guy couple of questions

I have a Trax Spartan. The ESC is a VXL 6S.
The throttle neutral adjustment is set to 50/50. Will the 70/30 setting provide more speed?
Binding instructions say to press and hold the reciever's Link button. Where is the reciever's link button?

The ice is finally gone here, so am on my out to a big pond for the first time. Taking the dogs in case I have to make a retrieve

No - it will give a longer throttle and shorter reverse but top speed will be the same. The receiver is in a black water proof box and there is a button on top near where the servo and esc are connected.
