In it true that traxxas is no longer replacing escs?

I was talk to the lhs today about boats. They said the no longer carry the spartan because traxxas will not replace the brushless system if there is a problem even if the boat has never been in the water. Is this a bunch of bull or is there some truth to it.

When I tried to get my ESC replaced, I was told to get help from, [email protected]
It's worth a try. I went to a large hobby business here in Canada. Large hobby businesses have more clout, then an indivdual. Good luck.

Sent two speed controls to Castle and they refused to replace them, said it was abuse! Ran them exactly the way that Traxxas recommended. Replaced with aftermarket and no more problems.

As I have said I got my ESC replaced, but I had the biggest hobby shop in Canada do it for me. They went to Traxxas. The big hobby shop has more clout then I do. I still have the Traxxas ESC, but put in the Castle Hydro Ice 200, which works great. Enjoy.
