Anyone figured out an easy way to keep water out of the Spartan in case of a blow over? Taping the hatch is a pain, not very affective either thanks to the design of the hatch/deck. I thought about making a thin plastic or plex-glass inner-cover to go under the hatch to tape down but the ridge all the way around the opening might make it impposible. I want to keep the hull and put the same electronics in it as i have in my Daytona cat, leopard 4074 1800 kv with the Seaking 180, and also a tactic radio, all running on 4S, but i don't want to bother if i'm not gonna be able to keep this thing from taking on water should it flip. Anyone got some ideas?

Hi Guys,
I made plex-glas inner cover.
Removed all possible points where the water could enter:
- eliminated both hatch fittings, closed holes of fittings as well, now i fix the hatch with tape
- closed three holes on the back of the hull that serves as outlets for water came inside the boat,
The cover should perfectly match with the boards of the hole, must be on the same level, than tie the board of the cover with the board of the hole with tape (Scotch).
BUT you must ensure a good cooling of the ESC and motor because the boat is sealed.
I tryed it on rough water, the boat overturned several times, remained upside down on the water and I didn't found even a drop of the water inside the hull.
In the summer, I go on vacation in my homeland in Croatia and I run my Spartan in the sea (salted water) that is enemy No1 for the electronics.
When the electronics get wet in sweet water, no problem, just dry it and continue to run. But when it happends with salted water, everything goes in the short-circuit (burns)!
So I had to seale the boat.

Hi Guys,
for now nothing, it was standing by itself tied with the tape, but I'm planing to fix four peaces of a plastic long the board of the hole one in front another, so it'll be enough just to lay it down and put the tape.
This summer my patent worked, but ESC and collet coupler with propp. flex cable did not! Soon I'll order everything what they offer here at OSE store as upgraded parts for the Spartan. Here at forum I didn't hear that anyone had some issues with ESC180 & Leopard motor 1600kv on 6s. Hope that is the truth!!!
