Hello, all! So, my Castle stock Spartan is overheating after about five minutes. It's the motor specifically. I have a dual pickup rudder, aluminum water jacket, and an x640. I run 6s on two 3s 8400mah 40c lipos. I place my lipos all the way forward. I rarely run WoT, but average around 60-80% throttle. I know for sure that water is flowing well thru both lines. I grease my shaft and lube my motor and strut every other run.
1. Should I be overheating with this setup, or do I have a bad motor?
2. Does WoT run cooler than slower speeds? Doesn't more speed = more amps = more heat, but also more water flow, which means LESS heat, so it just kind of cancels out?
3. Would the stock prop (or an x442) fix the overheating?
4. On a separate note, which SPECIFIC rubber grommet are people using between the transom and the strut? I tried the Traxxas Blast grommet TRA3840, but it does not fit well.
Thx in advance for all responses!
