Kevin what do you set the T180a esc to re cells, do you set to auto calculate or set at 6s, also what lvc do you set to as some of the T180 esc have problems with the lvs cutting in to soon so they set with no lvc & time runs. Have you had any probs where lvc cuts in to early. This is a general esc question rather than just directed at the Spartan. Thanks Martin.

I usually set the cell count to the number of cells I plan to run. On most of my boats I run the same number of cells all the time. I do have one T180 set to auto detect because I sometimes run different batteries. I haven't had any problems with auto detect, but there is a risk if you make a mistake and connect batts that aren't fully charged. The esc could mistake the voltage and set the esc for a lower cell count, you could then over discharge your batteries. This is general info for any esc with auto detect.

Yes, I find the lvc cuts in early. I usually run at 3.0v, but I find it differs from boat to boat. I have run the setting as low as 2.8 but only after several runs to confirm the lvc is cutting in early every time.
