    Spartan Motor Clean

Hi guys looking for some advice from all those in the know. If after sailing you find you have had water in your motor do you flush it out so it do's not go rusty inside. I have just had a motor replaced due to rust spots inside that where making my motor stutter at half throttle. What do you guys do??? any advice welcome.

If the end caps have holes that access the windings, I drain the motor as best I can and soak it good with WD40.

If it is a "sealed" unit you have to take it apart to spray it down with WD40.

Thanks Kevin for your advice. Mine is the stock motor at the moment so i would have to strip it i guess.
