Holes in transom of Spartan??

    Holes in transom of Spartan??

    What is the purpose of the two small holes on the top of the transom of the Spartan? Can they be covered? The current issue (June) of RC Driver has an article on the Spartan, and the author suggests they may be to release heat under the hatch. BTW, very positive 5 star rating on the Spartan in that article.

    Not sure which holes you are referring to. The two round holes in water gutter, or the openings created by the tabs on the hatch?

        I have no idea what their function is. They struck me as strange with no purpose, so I sealed them off with some marine Goop.

              They are for the water to exit the hull without having to flip the boat completely upside down.. Just a thought....
