    TQ question.

    Quick question,

Any Traxxas TQ LINK 2.4GHz #2238 RADIO will work with a spartan right? even if it came with a car? I just bought a spartan, but it did not come with a controller. I found one on ebay. (Traxxas Slayer TQ LINK 2.4GHz 2238 RADIO) but its from a car and just want to be sure.

    thanks

It should work if it is a 2.4GHz radio, although you'll have to bind it to the receiver before it will work.

Perfect, just wanted to be sure.
      thanks for the info.

One more question: Is there anything that is a "must" to do b4 I run a Spartan? its the snap-on version. (as far as modifications)

PS what kind of Suz you ride? I used to have a TL-R before I wrecked it like a jackass.

      thanks

Here are my suggestions, swap the rubber water cooling jacket for an aluminum one, dual water pick-up rudder & put bearings in the strut.

I sold my GSX-R750 a year ago and am on an Aprilia Futura RST1000 now - I'm getting old....

Do not run on 6S with stock motor/electronics. Some are OK but some go poof. Even the ones that are OK will eventually go poof on 6S. Proven that 5S is reliable in stock form if you want to go fast. If it were me I would sell the "new" motor/esc on ebay and get some better components for the same money. A T180 esc and a 4074 1400KV (HK) will make that spartan sing on 6S and only then will it be worthy of the Snap On edition.

Thank you both for the info. I will just run 4s for now to be safe.

I picked this up off of craigslist of $160. The guy posted it up and I just "lowed-balled" and he said OK, So now I'm the owner of a Snap-on Spartan minus a TQ. (in perfect shape) I guess he needed the money that day.. Score for me.

Suzukipro, The Aprilia is a great bike, I eventually want a RC-51, I likes me the V-twin.

            Thanks again guys.
