I just bought the almighty Traxxas Spartan... I was second guessing the boat but i ended up buying it anyways... I have Aquacraft boats such as the UL-1 and the Motley crew... I was looking for an rtr V hull and was looking between the Spartan and the Pro boat Impulse 31... I got the Traxxas because I grew up with Traxxas... Question for you guys is what prop and what should I watch for....im going to run 2s 5000mah lipos..... thanks for the input...

I congradulate you on your new Spartan your going to like it. I run a set of 5000mah Traxxas 6s lipos and a set of 8.400 mah 6s and love it. I run the stock prop, and have not touched the trim tabs. Drag racing over and over caused me to twist a drive cable in half, but I also used plain graphite grease that one time. And I finally flipped it running hard in a turn on very choppy water. I turned into the wind and it lifted off, did a back flip 3 feet in the air where one of the heavy 8.400 lipos came loose upside down and knocked the canopy off and was dangling only by the traxxas connector underwater. The boat floats up right with about half the hull out of he water. I got a little water in my reciever box and some in the motor but took care of all that.
