    Stuffing Tube question

Hello! I replaced the drive cable today on my Spartan and wanted to know if there is supposed to be any cable exposed just after exiting the transome before it goes into the strut, or does the stuffing tube stick out just a little bit to cover the cable? I have the tube flush with the rear of the transome now. But I also now have what may be a cavitation problem when turning slowly. And after I get straight and open it up it sort of moves out slowly at first then it hooks up and its gone. I dont really know for sure what cavitation is so I described it as best I could.

I would not run it like that any more,
Something is loose, Check the drive dog that holds the prop and the coupler at the motor shaft to.
    And coupler at flex shaft.
I am pretty sure the stuff tube should go into the strut.
This guy did a lot of good upgrades to make the boat right. http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...se-leaking-fix
Look at all of his post for help on yours.

lenny thank you so much sir. I see I need to pull the motor-esc-reciever module and loosen the tube clamp to move the tube out to the strut. And of course using a second gromment to hold in the grease. "What a good idea!" Thanks again for the info.

        No problem, Glad to help.
But just keep looking their may be better information than what I found.
When the spartan came out it had all kinds of problems and traxxas blamed the customers,
But it was traxxas screwups on the build to begin with.
