Traxxas claims the Spartan is the world's fastest ready to race boat and I didn't find anything faster so... I'd definitely would buy something else if it were ready to race. Maybe something 8s or 10s? I just need a link.

Check out the pursuit 32 mono. OSE has some in the swap shop for forum members or check out kintecracing.com. The pursuit is a far superior boat to the spartan in everyway. Honestly Kintec and Hobbyking sale a hull/hardware package, take the motor esc and servo out of the spartan and stick in that pursuit. Run 4s or 5s (stay away from 6s on that motor or bad things will eventually happen. If traxxas would shut up about there 6s claim I bet the failure rates would cut in half! JMHO) and the boat would be a AWESOME runner... Check my youtube for pursuit videos.

I'm looking for a ready to run set up that is either the same size or bigger, better, faster and cheaper than the Spartan. I have yet to see it and no was has a link to said boat so I'm going to run the Spartan on 6s until it bursts into flames and sinks. Then, I'll retrieve it and send it into Traxxas and get a brand new one. I continue to do that until I'm bored or until I've built a better boat. I've got about 10 runs on 6s with the Spartan so I should start seeing problems. When I do, I'll post up.

now put this boat up next to a FE built for its class and it will get smoked over and over again!
