Easy fix for hatch coming off

I just did this to my Spartan deck lid lastnight after several frustrating swampings yesterday.
You will need, sand paper or somthing to scuff up plastic, Original jb weld, a strip of hardwood 2x7" by 1/4 thick.
Start by soaking the wood in the sink with hot water, while it's soaking scuff the area under the lid from the mounting tab in the front back about 8" x 3" wide, then scuff the inside of the mounting tab area.
Now start flexing the hardwood strip to about the same shape as the lid, (dont worry if you crack it, it's takes the load like a arched bridge when installed)
After getting the wood strip shaped, dry it with a blow dryer while continuing to flex it into the bowed shape. Once dry test fit it, if it looks good and there are no big gaps go ahead and mixx up about 3/4 of the jb weld, slop some on the hard wood, press the hard wood in place and work the rest of the jb weld around the wood and fill the inside of the tab.
    Let dry overnight.
This will make the lid very ridged and add very little weight. And you can now use the lid as a shovel!
