I just looked at the instructions, they're not as bad as others. On pages 16/17 is where the esc instructions are. It says with LVC enabled it will cut power to 25%, but the Thermal Protection will completely cut off. So you're most likely hitting thermal protection. It should also have red led flashing. I believe this is the same as the previous Traxxas esc.

i am having the same issue and was running a x640 prop nice to know im not the only one, same basic set up 6s stock castle components. didnt cut out on the first run but got everything hot and the two runs after that now it cuts out. it does seem like its hitting the LVC.

What radio gear are you guys running, those that are cutting out? Mine also does this occasionally. I have only run mine on 6s once, today for about 1.5 minutes. Mine seems to do it in the same spots on the lake, not every time I'm in these spots but it has only happened in two spots, so it almost seems like a radio issue. It never happened while running the traxxas radio, only running a 3100 Spektrum rx with my DX3R radio. I mostly run on 4s, some on 5s. 6s didn't seem like there was much more performance over 5s.
